One of four Assisted Living Facilities designed for Hassett Belfer Senior Housing, Maple Pointe accommodates 92 apartments designed specifically for senior citizens. The facade has been carefully planned to integrate easily into the surrounding residential neighborhood consisting mainly of Tudor homes. The organization of the building into self sufficient neighborhoods (two per floor) each with it's own unique common area allows the frail residents to take ownership of their environment yet creates a draw for residents from other "neighborhoods" to travel and interact with their fellow residents. All common areas are oriented to the south to take advantage of the exposure and focus on the landscaped courtyard. The facility is a licensed NYS Adult Home for care of those suffering from Dementia.
